The 2009 Defence IT event will be held April 14, 2010 - April 15, 2010 at the Tower Guoman, London, UK. The 2009 Defence IT event is about debated progress in delivering “Secure Information Sharing Solutions for Team Defence”. This sell out event again used the successful highly interactive format using panels of seniors and experts. For 2010 the Shephard Group and UKCeB will hold a third event that will build on the issues debated and exposed in 2009, and the theme will be “Making Sense of the Team Defence Information Business”.
Such issues as treating information as an asset, making sense of the data overload, understanding behavioural issues in data collection and sharing, all in the context of support to decision making through the delivery of re-useable, interoperable solutions for secure information sharing, will be added to the programme in 2010.
Case studies and practical applications will be sought and debated for the deployment of coherent Enterprise Architectures and underpinning Information Architectures and Information Standards.
The event will again show-case the work of the UK MoD/Defence Industry Joint Information Group with the support of co-chairs Colonel David Frankland, Log NEC Prog Programme Management Group, Deputy Head, UK MOD, and Graham Curtis (Business Director for Logistics and Information Systems, BAE Systems) and of Brigadier Alan Clacher (Head Log NEC Programme) and Brigadier Martin Boswell (Head Through Life Support).
