CBRN for Defense event on February 8-10, 2010 at the Sheraton Premiere at Tyson’s Corner Hotel in Vienna, VA. The annual CBRN event tackles some of the greatest challenges faced by emergency decision makers and first responders. The idea of a Chemical, Biological, Radioactive or Nuclear attack is still prominent and equally as perilous. These attacks are without warning, difficult to detect and may not be immediately obvious. CBRN methods of destruction are so acute that the Defense Department has budgeted 11 billion dollars for the prevention and research of these hazardous threats. The Homeland Security Threat Assessment for the years of 2010-2014 lists CBRN attacks as the most dangerous threats that could be carried out in the United States.
